Transforming ideas into intelligent, scalable software systems that make life easier smarter more connected

About Me

I am Israel Iyonsi, a Software Engineer, AI and Cloud Enthusiast, and Technology Innovator shaping global innovation through intelligent, scalable software systems that make life easier, smarter, and more connected.

My journey is driven by a deep belief that technology should not just solve problems but inspire progress and create opportunities.I am passionate about using code, creativity, and collaboration to build software systems that redefine how people and businesses interact with technology.

I currently work with Altexsoft, a United States based global technology consulting company recognized for its expertise in software engineering, data science, and product development. My career has been built on curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning, values that reflect a new generation of African technology professionals shaping the future of intelligent software and enterprise solutions.

I was born and raised in Nigeria, and my love for technology began in 2010 when I stumbled upon a YouTube tutorial on HTML. That single spark of curiosity changed the entire direction of my life. What started as simple lines of code evolved into a lifelong pursuit of knowledge, growth, and excellence.

Today, I design and manage software systems that drive innovation and efficiency across industries. My story is one of resilience, growth, and the belief that every line of code can make a difference.

At Hydrogen, I helped design and implement one of the first settlement platforms that successfully processed over one billion dollars in transactions. At Zenith Bank, I was part of the engineering team that developed the domestic transfer application, integrating NIBSS NIP, NAPS, and NEFT to facilitate billions of naira in seamless financial transfers that are now essential to modern banking.

While working with United Bank for Africa (UBA), I played a key role in developing message screening and party screening functionalities for the Actimize Anti Money Laundering system, now active across 28 African countries. That experience deepened my understanding of how technology can bridge borders and protect financial ecosystems.

My time at Kindred also allowed me to expand international partnerships through affiliate integrations that generated more than two million pounds in revenue. Each of these experiences reaffirmed my belief that innovation becomes truly powerful when it delivers measurable value and long term impact.

Today, at Altexsoft, I focus on integrating Artificial Intelligence into enterprise systems, creating solutions that are adaptive, intelligent, and responsive to real human needs. For me, technology is not just a tool. It is a language of progress, creativity, and limitless possibility.

My career has spanned several industries, countries, and large scale digital projects, each one strengthening my resolve to create technology that drives real impact.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Altexsoft, I design AI integrated enterprise systems, scalable applications, and data driven solutions for clients across travel, finance, and healthcare. Using technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, Amazon Web Services, and GenAI, I help organizations evolve from traditional systems into intelligent, future ready platforms.

Before joining Altexsoft, I worked as a Software Engineering Consultant at Kindred, a UK based organization where I developed and maintained Azure based functions for affiliate transaction ingestion across over twenty global partner networks. My focus on API integrations, high volume data reconciliation, and system modernization enhanced performance and generated millions in verified revenue.

At Hydrogen, I designed a settlement platform that processed over one billion dollars in real time transactions using Kafka, Azure, and SQL based systems, setting a new benchmark for financial efficiency.

At Heirs Technologies, I built scalable enterprise applications and contributed to the redesign of Grinpole and Invearn, two platforms developed for Africa Prudential Plc. By improving backend performance and user experience, I helped modernize how investors and companies interact within capital markets.

Earlier in my career at Union Bank of Nigeria, I made one of my most defining contributions by working on the PAPSS integration, an application that enables money transfers between African currencies without converting to the dollar. I also led core banking system enhancements involving NIBSS NIP and NAPS, improving backend performance and system scalability through microservices architecture.

My journey through Pioneering Programmers, Decagon, SNET Track Services, and Loctech IT Training Institute shaped the foundation I stand on today, a blend of persistence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Across every project, my purpose remains the same, to design software that is not just functional but transformative, software that creates opportunity, drives change, and empowers people.

My journey reflects an unwavering passion for innovation, deep technical mastery, and a constant desire to grow. From my early days in Port Harcourt to my current role at a global technology firm, every step of my path has been guided by curiosity and purpose.

I am currently enrolled at the University of East London, pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science. This program strengthens my expertise in software systems, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital technologies.

Before my postgraduate studies, I completed the Software Engineering Diploma Program at Decagon Institute, one of Africa’s most respected developer training platforms. It was there I mastered clean code principles, scalable system design, and software architecture.

I am also a Scrum Certified Professional (Scrum Study), a recognition of my commitment to structured, collaborative, and efficient project delivery. These milestones have shaped not only my technical depth but also my leadership capacity and problem solving mindset.

My technical expertise includes C#, .NET Core, React, Angular, Typescript, Azure, SQL, Artificial Intelligence, Amazon Web Services, Kafka, and Microservices Architecture. Beyond tools and technologies, I bring a mindset rooted in creativity, precision, and purpose.

I enjoy exploring how AI and cloud engineering can push the boundaries of what is possible, redefining performance, security, and scalability in modern systems. Every challenge I take on is guided by one question, how can technology make life better?

My long term goal is to help shape the next wave of global technological transformation. I want to build systems that empower businesses, improve user experiences, and create sustainable value while showing that African innovation belongs on the world stage.

I believe in Artificial Intelligence as a force for human progress. By combining AI with traditional software engineering, I aim to create systems that learn, adapt, and evolve just like the people who use them.

I also believe in mentorship and community. I am deeply committed to helping young developers gain access to technology education and global opportunities. My philosophy is simple, with passion, persistence, and purpose, anyone can build something that changes the world.
